[It's been some kind of day, and he thinks about how he used to spend his nights on the streets and at bars when he wanted to drink alone. It's sort of what he had in mind for tonight, a drink with a view to stop thinking for a while and time away from everyone who talks to him...but there's Katy.

Katy, of course, is an exception to this. He doesn't mind her company at all, finds it fun and easy to talk to her and as he approaches there's a grin right back.]

Yeah, well, guess I could always use more of those. [The whiskey gets an approving nod though.] What're we drinking to today?

[There's a look that says it's too real but he doesn't disagree at all, taking the bottle to down his own pull. He doesn't pass it back right away, thinking for a moment.]

Good goals to have, even knowing we're at a disadvantage. [The bottle slides back to her. They can trade.] ...I've been thinking about it a lot, too. Every time I look at someone...well, you start wondering if it'll be the last time you see them.

[He doesn't quite grab for the bottle, instead choosing to lean on the bar and watch. She's right, of course. It's Tuesday and they have two more days before they probably fail to save someone else. Truth be told, he's accepted that a few more casualties will happen even if he hates the idea.

...but it'd be hypocritical to not take advantage of the here and now. He cants his head to the side, trying to see what she's looking for.]

And I'll drink to that, too. Sounds like you might have something in mind though? [He props his head up with his hand.] If it didn't seem completely out of place I'd almost be tempted to throw another party. It worked out better than I expected.

[He's not even going to pretend he doesn't recognize where this is going, though his eyebrows raise in interest.]

Not that lucky. Kinda had a chance of plans. [Breezily, blowing it off and instead he's counting the shots and sitting up a little straighter.] But I could be convinced to have a party for two.

[Listen. Sometimes everything happens a lot, and a hot girl presents you with tequila. Nothing ever happens on Tuesdays, so...it should be fine.]

Tell me about it. Always the partyplanner, never the partier. [But the flippant response says that's maybe not true, but he doesn't mind playing around. This is a good, relaxing way to spend the evening before skin muppets invade. She hops up onto the counter and he turns to lean his back against the bar. He tilts his head up to look at her with a curious grin.]

A game, huh? Would this happen to be a game involving licking salt and biting limes? [He's not stupid, but he's absolutely not saying no.]

Maybe a little of both. I usually don't kiss and tell. [But there's a smirk. This is actually a terrible idea given the effects of this week, but sometimes you embrace terrible ideas just to see where things go.] Sort of feels like a set-up for a slip-up, Katy, but I'll bite.

[With that said, he'll take one of the shots to hold in his hand.] Which of us is gonna go first then?

[Is this some self-control game? Yeah. Is he into it? Absolutely.]

[Oh. So it's that kind of game. He doesn't even seem to mind, watching Katy settle on the bar with the shot before picking up the salt and dashing it over the back of his hand.]

And with a quick loss, what would even be the point? [It's a joke, and he tilts his head before he angles his head just enough to pull the shot glass up with his lips, flipping it up enough to swallow the tequila down. He locks his eyes with hers for a hot second as he slowly licks the salt, darting down to bite the lime and just barely missing her mouth. He pulls back with the wedge in his teeth, sucking on the juice as he pulls back only a few inches.]

You'll have to do better than that. [This is said with the lime in his mouth so it's sort of muffled, but the idea's out there.]

[Sometimes you learn to move fast and find ways to apply that skill elsewhere. The lime juice is sucked from the fruit and the rind's set aside when he's finished, hopping up on another space of the bar.

They're not dumb. Neither of them are stupid and he knows they're both aware of the end goal here. But there's something about the anticipation of it that makes it more interesting. Plus it's time to kill and something normal, something he could imagine himself still doing if he had a regular-ass life.

With that cheerful thought, he'll reach over and pour a shot into the glass.]

You have the clear advantage here. [Mostly in that she has a convenient space to rest the glass. It takes him a moment to think, but he settles for shifting the bottom hem of his shirt up and balancing the glass carefully on his exposed hip/lower abdomen.] But we'll stay in easy mode for now.

[And with that he shuts up and shoves the lime wedge into his mouth, teeth sinking just a little into the rind.]
