[Oh, it's been one hell of a week. Katy's curled up in one of the chairs in the lounge with a bottle of whiskey all to herself when Wei Wuxian enters.]
[That is entirely fair, honestly. They could all use a bottle of whiskey? But probably especially someone who got burnt in an explosion and also kept finding body parts, yes.
Wei Wuxian will just go plop himself down in a nearby chair, in any case, tipping his own bottle in her direction. He's stolen it from the pool, mercifully untouched by murder as it is this week...]
[SAVE THE POOL 2k19 they all need at least one place with alcohol to remain untouched Friday through Sunday...]
Dimitri? No, but the speculation seems to be leaning toward him being the one who happened to get possessed. [...] Harsh as it is to say, I do hope that's the case. Otherwise, we have one vanished person who located and attacked a demon, and one additional possessed person on the loose.
Haha, if things were that simple it would be nice, wouldn't it? But we have an extra demon on the loose, so it's best to vote for whoever they're inhabiting now, most likely.
[If only things were that easy, dang... Though he gives her a curious look at that!]
Ah - well. The dagger found at the scene of the supposed exorcism was his. Edelgard was able to identify it. Chances were fairly high that he either went and attacked something else, or that something or someone attacked him.
I think some believe a second was spawned when Escha failed to exorcise a host properly before killing them? Or that they were here from the start, since we don't actually know what Polly summoned. That, and the handiwork today does make it seem like we either have one extremely dedicated demon on the loose, or a couple of disorganized ones.
[Or a couple of demons that are absolutely not collaborating at all, running around causing havoc twice in a night, apparently... Demons!! They're hard to keep an eye on.]
[What a wildass ride of a weekend that was!! Wei Wuxian is meandering around after dinner, but finds himself drawn to the aquarium eventually. It's a pretty comforting place, after all - the blue lights are soothing, and he likes watching the fish swim by.
Though he does perk up when he notices he's not alone, and recognizes his fellow aquarium-goer.]
[He seems about the same as he always does. He likes both of the Genjis so this has been A Time, but as always, doesn't particularly feel like burdening anyone with that.]
What about you? Haha, I'm glad you managed to make it through a trial without someone giving you grief this time.
[His tone is light and teasing like a PUNK, but he really is grateful. Let Katy Rest 2k19.]
[He does his best... But he laughs, too, turning away from the glass to face her more fully.]
It really does! Hard to keep a secret around here, hm? Anyway, I actually had a couple of questions to hand over to you before you contact our dearly departed - mind taking them on?
That's how it ought to be, if you ask me. We're just shooting ourselves in the foot, keeping secrets from each other.
[She leans one shoulder against the glass.]
I'd be happy to, but I have to play charades with the dead to get anything out of 'em. I'll do my best, but I can't promise answers. Did you have someone in particular you wanted me to ask?
Agreed, agreed - especially since it's pretty clear by now that our dear demonic friends are banking on us not cooperating.
[Another laugh, though this one is a little drier than the first. Demons!! Are all bad.]
Ah, I see, I see... Haha, it's true that nothing here can be straightforward or easy, hm? Anyway, no one in particular. I've heard you have a limited amount of time to try speaking with them as well, correct?
Haha, well... They're certainly out for blood and chaos, but I wouldn't say they're not that intelligent, unfortunately.
[He's had some tiring conversations with these demons, LORD ABOVE.]
Anyway, if that's all the time you have, I won't waste any of it. Of course there are people I'd like to check on, but we have a few more important things to ask, unfortunately! [He never thought he'd miss being able to talk to the dead freely, wow.] So the first question - could you ask them where we can find the items we're missing for the ritual?
week 3; friday post-investigation; lounge
Hey.
[She's been better.]

Hey. [...] Looks like you've seen better days.

Can confirm. Hey.
[She takes a sip from the bottle.]
We still don't know what happened to Dimitri, do we?

That's all news to me. So, what, we vote for him at trial?
[She has a feeling it won't be that easy, but who would expect it to be by this stage in the game?]
I thought he might've broken in somewhere and wasn't able to make it back out.

[She shakes her head.]
I guess the rest of that checks out, though.

Ah—! Katy! Have a moment to spare?

Wei Wuxian, how're ya now?
[So, yes!]

I'll say. And I'm glad this week was... Straightforward.
[She's not about to celebrate that two more people are dead going into next week, but it is a bit of a relief, at least.]

[Especially considering how they hadn't actually found Muzet's killer until the following week, good lord.
He reaches forward, tapping at the glass as a fish swims by and spooking it a bit. These fish don't deserve to be bullied and yet, here he is...]
--Mm, it's a bit abrupt, but I was hoping I could ask you a question or two. Is that alright?
no subject
Sure thing. Fire away.

[To this DAY no one has told him what the heck that word MEANS in urban dictionary dot com, but he at least knows what it means here.]
no subject
Word travels fast, huh? I sure am.
