[He swings an arm around her shoulder. She's Katy, and that's that.]
They're all a bunch of headcases, if you ask me. Anyone who looks at you and thinks "that's the suspicious one" when we've got, fucking, assassins and shit running around? That's mental.
[She laughs, letting him pull her against him. Nathan's a breath of fucking fresh air after that near miss.]
I meant can you tell as a host? Do you know where the demon is? Who it's gonna target next?
[It's a bummer to have to burst the bubble of levity he just managed to drum up, but they're important questions to ask. Still, she tilts her head against his shoulder.]
[She tilts her head to the side, giving him a half smile.]
Don't give me that look. I know you've got to play by the rules, shitty as they are.
[But it's good news, sort of, that Dimitri didn't lose to the ship. No one's died like that yet, so... She's gonna hold out hope that she and Haymitch weren't actually in as much danger as it felt like they were.]
Maybe you won't be able to answer this either, but... Junpei and Dick are in the camp of keeping all the info locked down tight so it doesn't fall into the hands of the demon. That doesn't make sense to me, but it's possible I'm missing something.
[What's her actual question here? She bites her lip.]
Am I missing something? I don't like the thought of the demon knowing who's got which role, but does the demon even care about that sort of thing? It doesn't seem like it has so far.
I can't explain how it all works right off the bat, given the rules, but what I can tell you is that trying to "keep the information away from the demon" is utter bullshit. Honestly, it's not that complicated. The way the demons think, anyway. They don't care about all this shit. They don't care who knows what or who can do what. No matter what they know, all they're gonna do is get laid and make a big, bloody mess out of some poor chump at the end of the week.
That's what I fucking thought. Nothing about this reads as calculated to me... I mean, look at the stunt Monika tried to pull, framing me. How weak was that?
Exactly! They're a bunch of simple-minded chumps. Deadly, but they don't really got much going on up top.
[He snorts.]
There's no reason in policing the trustworthiness of anyone here. If anything, keeping information to yourself is like shooting all of us in the goddamn foot.

So why is everyone all pissed off that Haymitch told me about their roles? I don't get it. I'm here to help, same as everyone else.
[She huffs out a sigh, frustrated.]
All it's earned me is suspicion, and over what? My makeup? It's bullshit, is what it is.
[...]
You can tell I'm not possessed, right?

But thanks.

[Than just "knowing", that is. And that's about the best he can do without spewing out dial tone at her in the form of an explanation.]

Outstanding.

Did Dimitri break in somewhere and not make it out?
no subject
[She can probably guess what he's going to say next, and he winces apologetically before the words come out.]
But what did happen, that's not something I can tell you; you'll have to figure it out without my help.

[This is so validating? She sighs, patting a hand on his chest.]
It's kinda starting to feel like half the people around here are fucking crazy.
no subject
More than half, if you ask me.
