[He appreciates it, thanks Katy. But...he stares at his feet.]

I can blame myself for part of it. I definitely consciously did some things. [Just. Ugh.] And anyway...I shouldn't, but I feel partially responsible for her.

Yeah. [A long sigh and he scrubs a hand over the back of his head.] Yeah, I know...business as usual. There's a reason I kind of left not long after they took her away.

[Trying to get it out of his system without anybody watching.] Can't say I look forward to the new rules and implications that just opened up here. If we can exorcise anybody even for just defending themselves, what the fuck is going to stop people from going after each other more than ever? We know the demons determine who's awake at night, which...means if I'm right, one of those three planned to kill her anyway.

[So that's also bad.]

Late Sunday night and then to the next Sunday when we exorcised her. The demon would have passed to Prompto if he hadn't turned her down, but it spread to Nikkari instead on Monday night. He then passed it on on Tuesday, Even though the strands were separated and started making their way around the ship, Monika remained as the main host and ultimately acted as the killer on Thursday night.

One of the theories I had was a master and a few servants. So, you're possibly right. Carlos did say that Polly unleashed a number they can't even tell us, but definitely more than one. And now that nobody's receiving the visions, it's going to be harder to track where the demons are manifesting. I think the smaller ones are leaving the hosts they infect, but there's no proof they aren't leaving something behind, too.

The visions and the paranoia stopped after you passed it on. But that still doesn't prove much.

One of the things I like about you best is that you're smart. [Just coming out to say it.] That's exactly what I think we're dealing with and it's really annoying that our leads continue to evade us every week.

People are going to get sacrificed until we track the real source. The more people sacrificed, the more distrusting the rest of the ship gets. The more distrusting the ship gets, the more the demons have to work with. A vicious cycle, and one I'd like to not see happen.

Probably. Negativity harvests more negativity, whatever. If I were a demonic entity looking for a host, I'd slip into something easy that was already feeling less than great. It'd be more likely to go unnoticed.

Makes sense, doesn't it?

Demons don't really exist where we're from either. We have a different kind of monster called "humanity." [Chill out, edgelord.] A lot of things I've heard lately tie right into myth and legend which is even weirder than I thought.

We're not on Earth. I figured out that much. I still think we might be in the Bermuda Triangle or something close to it. [...] There's a lot here that does and doesn't make sense.

Could be both. That's the scariest part about all of this, we really do not know. And it's still so early that we're still in the process of finding out who is and isn't on our side. Who'll work together and who won't. Think about a normal situation. Do you trust people you meet right away?
